This programme, fully accredited by the British Psychological Society, allows you to focus on topics related to social psychology. These include forensic psychology, substance use, family life and societal prejudice. Throughout your degree you will study a range of theoretical ideas and develop expert research skills. In your final year you will also design and implement an individual research project, related to a social psychological topic. Past students have chosen areas such as substance/alcohol use, implicit cognition, conspiracy theories, stereotyping and prejudice, and perceptions of ex-offenders. This course is ideal for students interested in business, entrepreneurship or the healthcare sector. It is also an excellent choice if you plan to go on to postgraduate study in social psychology, forensic psychology, clinical psychology, or marketing and management. In addition to the opportunities we offer to undertake paid internships and other work experience, you may also opt to spend your third year in industry before returning to UEA to complete your final year. During your year in industry you will gain valuable work experience in a field closely related to your degree.
