Midwifery

Midwifery is a satisfying yet challenging profession that allows you to care for pregnant women and their families before, during and after childbirth. Our programme will provide you with all the clinical knowledge and skills you need to excel as a midwife. You will receive the highest level of education from our supportive and well-respected academics, who will equip you with a solid grounding in the physical and psychological aspects and overall process of pregnancy and birth. Our rigorous course will train you to be able to deliver the highest standards of care to pregnant women and their babies. You will learn through a combination of fully immersive clinical placements and innovative teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, practical sessions, workshops and independent study. Through our problem-based and inter-professional learning approach, you will work alongside other healthcare students, as well as service users, to gain a full understanding of what it means to be a midwife. The course is designed to ensure that you are well prepared to enter your new profession when you graduate. Please note this course is not open to international applicants.
