This four-year programme allows you to begin your journey towards becoming a Chartered Engineer. After graduating you will be ideally placed to go on to gain the real-world experience needed. On this course you will complete the team-based design project required for Engineering Council accreditation. This will be a real-world design that answers a current problem. You could design a piece of equipment for anyone from an aircraft operator to a small-scale manufacturer. You will work on your concepts in mixed-discipline teams. You will take the design of your chosen element of your scheme through to detailed calculations, drawings and often a model. You will also have the opportunity to complete two credit-bearing periods of industrial experience.
