A key feature of this course is its interdisciplinary and coherent approach, which brings together chemistry, physics and mathematics. Chemical physics is an exciting and intellectually challenging area, and on this course you will be introduced to topics that reflect its full scope. These include the fabrication and properties of nanoparticles, laser systems and their applications, microsensors, computational modelling and photonics. Our modules include theoretical, experimental and computational components, and laboratory classes will help you develop your practical expertise. You will spend your third year abroad before returning to UEA for your final year. On your return, you will be able to undertake an independent research project in theoretical, experimental or computational chemical physics. We currently have exchange agreements with universities in North America, including California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Colorado and Missouri in the United States, and in British Columbia, Western Ontario and Calgary in Canada.
