You will start with a grounding in core business disciplines, which will prepare you to take modules related to your specialism. These include Introduction to Financial and Management Accounting, Organisational Behaviour, and Economics for Business. Through your studies you will gain a solid understanding of the principles of marketing, as well as developing your business skills. As you progress you will specialise further through modules in Business Finance, International Business, and Quantitative Methods used for analysing and solving problems, while continuing to develop your management skills. In your final year you will take more advanced modules and develop a solid understanding of modern finance theory and practice. You will learn the critical issues in making and analysing investment decisions. You will also explore financial intermediation and banking in an international context, with emphasis on assessing the performance, evolution and regulation of banks and related institutions. You will develop the skills needed to analyse financial models using real datasets, including models of valuation, capital appraisal, portfolio choice and risk management, as well as having the opportunity to choose other optional modules according to your areas of interest and career goals.
