This degree programme is an opportunity to study biological sciences, whilst preparing for a rewarding career in teaching. As well as the course modules outlined in the BSc Biological Sciences, you will undertake two compulsory teaching practice modules, which will include a guaranteed school placement at the end of your first year. You will receive additional teaching experience through fortnightly classroom observation placements, as well as in seminars and workshops delivered by our School of Education and Lifelong Learning – one of the top teacher training institutions in England, with more than 30 years’ experience. During your time on the course you will also have the opportunity to undertake other education modules. This exposure to education and the understanding you will gain will put you in a great position to progress to the UEA PGCE (Initial Teacher Training) course when you graduate.
