The programme is highly practical and structured around regular musical theatre performances and productions. There is an employability focus from the start of the programme. The course provides a training in approaches to singing and musical theatre. A range of styles and practitioners are studied. Opportunites to devise, script and compose projects are provided. Musica theatre performance history and cultural contexts for the work are explored. Professional practice is developed through a high level of contact with Industry professionals who mentor development through company classes and rehearsals: individual and company critique is provided. In the final year there is a focus on practice as research and independent projects. Showcase events including the opportunity of a graduate showcase in London are provided.
