The programme is practice-based structured around regular dance and physical theatre performances and productions. There is an employability focus from the start of the programme. The course provides a training in approaches to dance and physical theatre. A range of styles and practitioners are studied. Opportunites to devise and choreograph projects are provided. Dance and performance history and cultural contexts for the work are explored. Approaches to teaching, Dance in Education and the Community are also featured. Professional practice is developed through a high level of contact with Industry professionals who mentor development through company classes and rehearsals: individual and company critique is provided. In the final year there is a focus on practice as research and independent projects. Showcase events including the opportunity of a graduate showcase in London are provided.
