Biology degree with a foundation in the fundamentals of biology. Year one covers Cell Biology, Introductory Microbiology and Immunology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Molecular Biology and biochemistry. In year two students choose pathways in either microbiology or molecular and cellular biology (genetics) but share core modules in infections and immunity, bioinformatics, molecular biology. The genetics pathways covers human genetics, biochemical pathways and pharmacology and physiology whilst the microbiology programme will look at medical microbiology, microbial genetics and microbiological techniques.
