English Literature and Politics

Our joint English Literature and Politics programme allows you to combine the study of contemporary political issues with the analysis of the great works of English literature. You will be taught by academic experts, critics and professional writers, who will you introduce and guide you through the study of both disciplines. This joint programme covers prose, poetry and theatre from the Renaissance to the present day, while also offering in depth analysis of contemporary political questions, from international relations to political theory. You will split your time equally between both sides of the programme, and develop a range of analytical skills and deep knowledge of both English Literature and Politics.
