Radio Production and Media Studies

Radio is the soundtrack to your life. It brings the music, news, information and entertainment that matter to you. At the University of Chester, we don’t just study Radio Production – we make it happen. Our award-winning radio station is rooted in this degree course. Our students are broadcasters, reporters, producers and managers – that’s what we do in the course. Media Studies provides an opportunity to study the most influential and ubiquitous product of the 21st century. Many people, from audiences to governments, owners to distributors, seek to have influence over the media, to influence or control what we see, hear or read – and how. You will ask critical questions about the media industry and have the opportunity to develop a wide range of transferable abilities, which are welcome in many graduate roles.
