English Language: During this course, you will study the fundamental structures and theoretical principles of English and language in general, and use them to understand and analyse spoken and written English discourse in context. This may include investigating sounds, word meanings, sentence structures, discourse analytical principles, child language acquisition, and language variation and change. Theology and Religious Studies: Theology and Religious Studies encourages you to consider the significance of religious practices and perspectives in the contemporary world, as well as inviting you to think critically about the Bible, Christian belief, philosophy and ethics. You will also study a wide range of areas within core subjects of theology, religious studies and biblical studies. Teaching takes place at the Parkgate Road Campus.
