Teaching takes place at the Parkgate Road Campus. During this course, you will learn the core subjects of an Economics degree, including micro- and macroeconomics, with examples and applications for day-to-day life, giving attention to the historical, social, political and international contexts that influence the development of modern Economics. International Development Studies (IDS) will help you to understand the dominating influences on all aspects of 21st-century life. Governments, businesses, environmental and humanitarian groups and individuals recognise the need to understand more about development issues and how they can be addressed. You can combine IDS with one of a range of subjects providing additional expertise that might be applied in a development context.
