Archaeology and Spanish

Teaching takes place at the Parkgate Road campus. Archaeology is the study of the human past, from the hunter-gatherers of Ice Age Europe to the inhabitants of modern cities. At Chester, our course provides you with an understanding of these past societies and the techniques that we use to study them. The course aims to provide you with a wide range of skills, such as field survey and excavation, critical reading and writing, and scientific analysis; as well as the opportunity to specialise in particular periods or themes. By the end of the course you will have had the opportunity to develop your language skills to a very high level as well as studied a range of cultural and historical contexts. You will also have had the chance to undertake exciting placements in Spain and or Latin America, to gain invaluable employment skills and knowledge of current affairs.
