Teaching takes place at the Warrington campus. The combined Advertising course combines practical projects, with a critical examination of the impact of advertising messages. Working from a solid foundation of the theories and strategies behind successful advertising and branding campaigns, this course aims to develop and extend your ability to devise appropriate brand narratives and to produce powerful, persuasive messages and creative materials. Media Studies provides an opportunity to study the most influential and ubiquitous product of the 21st century. Many people, from audiences to governments, owners to distributors, seek to have influence over the media, to influence or control what we see, hear or read – and how. You will ask critical questions about the media industry and have the opportunity to develop a wide range of transferable abilities, which are welcome in many graduate roles.
