Sport Science (Top-Up) - University of Central Lancashire

The Sport Science Top-Up is a successful and popular programme within the School of Sport & Wellbeing. The course provides a progression route for those students completing the sport-related FDAs delivered at our partner colleges and also those students studying HNDs and FDAs further afield. This course brings together the three distinct disciplines of Sport & Exercise Physiology, Sport & Exercise Psychology, and Sports Biomechanics. In addition we have further sub-disciplines of Nutrition and Performance Analysis which help to further develop areas of specialisms you may wish to study. We hope that you’ll enjoy your studies. We want this to be a positive learning experience for you. There will be some hard work, but we hope that you’ll find it interesting and challenging and that you’ll have the chance to enjoy yourself along the way. Sport Science has emerged as an academic area with a developing body of knowledge that encompasses the parent disciplines of Physiology, Psychology and Biomechanics, along with additional sub-disciplines of Nutrition and Performance Analysis. This programme adopts a multi-disciplinary approach with the aim of producing knowledgeable and skilful graduates in the field of Sport Science.
