History with Journalism

A rigorous and wide-ranging study of History, combined with a significant grounding in Journalism. The History component offers outline and conceptual modules which concentrate on the period from 1800 to the present day – though we do study some earlier periods too. The Journalism modules provide theoretical reflection on, and practical training in, journalism. As a major/minor programme, two thirds of the degree will be in History (major) and a third in Journalism (minor).
