This new course offers a rare opportunity to study the fascinating subject of religion and theology at home and abroad. Throughout the course our welcoming classroom environment enables you to interact closely with lecturers. In years one and two you will explore key issues of world religions and learn how leading scholars approach the subject. Through a choice of optional units, you will examine Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Chinese and Japanese religions. You may also choose to study one of the following languages: Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Latin or Sanskrit. In year three you will have the opportunity to study abroad at one of our world-renowned partner institutions in Asia, Australia, Canada, the USA or continental Europe. In your final year you will study comparative religions and take optional units that allow you to either focus on a particular religion or pursue broader themes. You will also compose a dissertation on a bespoke topic.
