Film and German

This course combines film with the study of German. You will study histories and theories of film as well as learning practical skills in film-making. You will also take units in German language and culture. Both departments have an impressive reputation for their teaching and research. You will spend your third year abroad, refining your language skills and cultural knowledge. In your final year, you will return to Bristol and have the chance to undertake an independent project or a work placement in the creative industries. You will be introduced to many aspects of German studies. As well as following a structured language course, you will study literature, history, thought, politics, linguistics and culture. This degree combination provides a wide range of options that allow you to pursue your own interests.
