Nursing (Mental Health)

Students on this accredited course are supported to become caring and compassionate professionals, developing the skills and experience they need to begin their nursing career within mental health. Students spend 50% of the year on placement in healthcare settings with local NHS trusts and private and voluntary organisations. They simulate nursing situations in the university's Clinical Skills and Simulation Suites, allowing them to apply the theory to practice in a supported environment. There are also opportunities to study abroad. On successful completion students are eligible to apply for registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
