Nursing (Adult) Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust

The University of Bolton’s Adult Nursing degree, offered in partnership with Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, will prepare you for a successful career caring for people over 18 who are ill, injured, or have physical disabilities. You will spend 50% of your time in clinical practice placements and study at the University will complement and enhance your learning in the workplace. You will learn to care for adults with acute and long-term illnesses, in hospital and at home, as well as gain expertise in health promotion and disease prevention. Working together with our partner Trust, we will prepare you to become a confident, professional nurse, able to deliver and lead adult care within an ever changing health and social care environment. On successful completion of the nursing qualification you will possess the knowledge and skills you’ll need to perform as an independent, highly competent, compassionate nurse who can be trusted to maintain professional standards and assure the protection of the public. There is a shortage of qualified nurses in the UK, and there are significantly more applicants for nursing degrees than there are NHS funded places on university courses. This course is open for applications for students wanting to start thier course in May 2018 only.
