BA (Hons) Education & Learning is an exciting new degree at the University of Bolton that combines aspects of current educational policy, the history of education, sociology, philosophy and psychology. It will allow you to explore key issues in education both in the UK and abroad. Some key themes, central to the course, are critical and reflective thinking, equality and diversity. By thinking about how we learn, through our conscious and unconscious knowledge, you will consider formal, examined learning as well as the other knowledge that shapes our lives, our interests and our value structures. You will research and analyse different educational practices and reflect on your own and others’ experiences of education. This will allow you to think critically about learning and teaching and the way education is perceived and received.
