Cloud Computing with Foundation

Cloud computing is revolutionising the way businesses organise their IT services and computer systems, as well as the way staff and customers interact with products and services. Our BSc (Hons) Cloud Computing with Foundation degree seeks to prepare you for a career at the crest of this new wave of technologies. We offer a focused understanding of how the cloud operates, virtualisation and the supporting network communications. The foundation year is the first year of this degree, offering an excellent grounding in the fundamentals of computing, programming and mathematics. It’s designed to prepare you for degree level study. Our dedicated and experienced staff will guide you to develop strong understanding and practical know-how in key areas that underpin and feed into the cloud. As well as exploring the configuration, management and deployment of several cloud architectures and services, you’ll study the operating systems, virtualisation, infrastructure systems development, and networking that are the foundations of all cloud services. We’ll also support you to gain vital academic and lifelong learning skills so that you are well prepared to research new technologies, apply your knowledge in new ways, and keep abreast of innovations and enhancements in the cloud and communications industries throughout your career.
