BA (Hons) Theatre and Professional Practice with Professional Practice Year enables you to immerse yourself in the process of contemporary theatre-making, predominantly as an actor, director, or workshop facilitator. You will be involved in professional practice from the start. Initially, you will work as an actor / performer on a range of public performance projects while developing your acting skills and your understanding of different theatrical approaches. Learning on the course develops from the foundation stage to more complex, challenging work; you will develop your professional skills and CV and your understanding of the theoretical concepts that underpin your practice. This course is taken over four years which includes a year placement in industry. Undertaking a year in industry has many benefits. You gain practical experience and build your CV, as well as being a great opportunity to sample a profession and network with potential future employers. There is no tuition fee for the placement year enabling you to gain an extra year of experience for free. *Only available to UK/EU students.
