This course is aimed at developing the next generation of smart city planners. If you have a passion for designing a conurbation in which technology, health, economics and well-being then this is a course for you. The recent growth in the desire to build 'smart' cities requires employees who understand the multi-faceted requirements of a smart city. You could follow a career in the civil service, become an urban planner and designer or even follow a technology career that builds the technologies that underlie the smart city. This course is a multidisciplinary course that allows you to study the theory and practice of urban planning and design - it is a mix of social science, health, technology and business and provides an opportunity to specialise in one of these areas.
