Learn to develop more effective treatment for diseases and discover how chemicals may modify living systems. You’ll be trained to become a research scientist. You’ll gain knowledge of the fundamental principles of chemistry, biology and the physical sciences and be able to apply these principles to specific problems in pharmacology. Through our hands-on classes you’ll develop practical laboratory skills. This course will provide you with an integrated view of drug action linked to normal and disease-related functions of the major organ systems. You’ll be trained to be a high quality, innovative and independent research scientist. As a pharmacologist you can go on to work on the development of new treatments for both human and animal diseases.
