Our course is for aspiring engineers who want to contribute to the future of an expanding industry. You’ll advance your knowledge in areas of robotics, artificial intelligence and electronics systems at the forefront of engineering and design. In your first two years, you will learn the underlying principles of electronic, electrical and mechanical engineering. You’ll combine this with aspects of computer science to give you a comprehensive overview of robotics engineering. Project work is central to your learning experience and gives you the opportunity to build your technical design skills. Group projects challenge you to work in teams to solve practical engineering problems. As well as gaining hands-on experience, you’ll also develop valuable managerial and business skills. You can join one of our student teams who compete annually. These include Team Bath Racing Electric, Bath Drones and the autonomous underwater systems team. You’ll complete your degree with an individual project. This is your chance to focus on where you want to build your expertise. You could explore areas of robotics and autonomous systems, artificial intelligence and systems engineering. You’ll graduate with an in-depth understanding of the operation, components and techniques of robotics engineering. Your studies will prepare you for a career in robotics and automation in areas such as robotic systems design, autonomous systems and medical robotics.
