Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - University of Adelaide

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) is a one year program that includes advanced coursework and a research project in which students produce an extended piece of work (thesis) on a topic chosen in consultation with an academic supervisor. An Honours year provides more advanced training in the student's chosen discipline and provides the opportunity to undertake and practice advanced research skills. Students learn new techniques and theoretical approaches, broadening their skill base and providing a competitive edge in the job market. The Honours year is considered to be a year of full-time study and regular attendance at classes is required. It is possible to take Honours over two years if special personal or medical circumstances apply.
