Journalism (Music and Events) with Foundation Year - Teesside University

**Course overview**: This course includes an integrated foundation year. It offers a distinct focus and encourages a consistent portfolio of work that is ready to serve a specific industry ensuring you are better placed for future employment. Journalism is changing into a global and digital environment, the skills developed as part of this course will enable you to cover and digitise events by enabling you to learn the digital literacy needed. Music and events-based journalism has long been a mainstay of the industry and has weathered considerable change as appetites have evolved for media consumption. From Rolling Stone to Billboard, music journalism has had an evergreen relationship with its audience, and journalism in the field has remained as strong and vibrant as the subjects it covers. This course takes advantage of traditional and emerging approaches to the industry and utilise the University’s excellent facilities to offer a completely new approach to the field. Building on our excellent journalism and music technology courses, the BA (Hons) Journalism (Music and Events) draws upon skills and knowledge in digital media creation and delivery, to shape a unique and exciting course for you.
