Digital Entrepreneurship with Foundation Year - Teesside University

**Course overview**: This course includes an integrated foundation year, ideal if you don’t have the appropriate subjects and/or grades to go straight into year one. It will provide you with the knowledge to develop, market and manage digital content for a range of businesses including new start-ups. As audiences move from traditional consumption models, this course will help you to develop and think creatively within a digital enterprise context. You will learn how to build your own digital channels and develop new audiences and the technical skills necessary to leverage the benefits of technology in business. You will explore specific technologies for the creation, delivery, maintenance, advertising, marketing and promotion of content in digital and online spaces. You will also learn how to navigate complex revenue streams from digital sources and opportunities on a global scale, looking at existing models, promotion and sponsorship. Skills you will gain and develop during the course include media and broadcast production, PR and communications, advertising, presentation and professional skills, audience identification, web skills (design, html, css), data analysis, camera work, studio and audio production, market and data analysis, business development, innovation design and management. This course offers a unique and challenging opportunity for creatives, technologists and business minds to realise their vision as the innovators of tomorrow. **After the course**: Graduates will be able to develop and grow their own channels of digital content for identified audiences and understand how to generate revenue from products and services.
