Aerospace Engineering with a Foundation Year

Engineering offers an enormous range of career opportunities for graduates. If you do not have typical entry qualifications, or are an overseas student without the entry requirements for the first year, the integrated foundation year is designed to provide wider access to accredited honours degrees. Our state-of-the-art facilities include: structures teaching; geomechanics; experiments with concrete laboratory; fluid mechanics; bridge testing. Our Engineering degrees are accredited by professional bodies including: Institution of Engineering Technology; Institution of Mechanical Engineers; Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining; Institution of Chemical Engineers; Royal Aeronautical Society. Areas studied typically include: chemistry; electricity and magnetism; engineering science; fundamentals of materials; key skills for engineers; mathematics; mechanics; thermofluid mechanics.
