Post Production Technology (with a placement year)

This BSc degree is for people who want to specialise in editing, colour grading and post production effects. The structure of this course provides the opportunity for you to take a year away from your studies in a relevant industrial/professional placement. The school has a dedicated Academic Practice Learning Manager who will be able to guide, advise and support you with regards to placement opportunities. Placement years provide context for students’ academic studies and can often lead to graduate employment opportunities. This degree combines technical, creative and artistic learning. If you dream of becoming a renowned video or film editor, or if you love short films, feature films, television, documentaries or music videos, this course could be for you. It’s ideal if you want to specialise in editing, colour grading or post production effects. Our strong links with industry will help you to secure a work placement that will, ultimately, be critical to your early success as a filmmaker or post production specialist. You’ll also get to work on live industry briefs and listen to guest speakers who will provide inspiration. Our academics and alumni have exhibited and premiered films at festivals such as Raindance, the Berlin International Film Festival, the Melbourne International Film Festival, the Galway Film Fleadh and London Short Film Festival.
