Pharmaceutical Science (with a placement year)

Pharmaceutical Science will appeal to those who are passionate about understanding how the human body functions at a molecular level and the science that we use to help manage human health. In the 21st century drugs are of major importance in the treatment of human disease and illnesses. Throughout this course you will develop a clear understanding of how drugs and medicines work, and also the skills and techniques needed to understand development, production and the quality assurance of pharmaceutical products. You will have the opportunity to undertake professional work experience or an extended research project. You’ll develop specialist skills and an in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical science and the industry around it. On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science Work placements You will attend a work placement between the second and final years of the course and our placement staff will work with you to identify a suitable location for your work placement. Please also note that you are responsible for any costs incurred in travelling to and from your work placement, and for any accommodation costs.
