Acting and Screen Performance

The aim of our Acting and Screen Performance degree is to create skilled actors with the ability to work across all performance mediums, specialising in TV and film. If you’re keen to learn the unique processes of acting for camera, this course will prepare you to enter the contemporary world of recorded media. Practical acting workshops form the basis of this course, with theory-based classes developing your critical and evaluative skills. Though you’ll join our Acting and Theatre Arts students for the majority of the course, you’ll spend 25% of your time specialising in Screen Performance. Our team of lecturers is made up of experienced actors, directors and designers. We have links with many media and arts organisations including Lime Pictures and the BBC, and encourage our students to take up an industry placement as part of their degree. Many of our graduates work as actors, stage managers, lighting designers, directors, technicians, youth theatre leaders, production managers and teachers. Others have continued their education at postgraduate level.
