International Tourism Management (top up)

This course meets the increasing demand for graduates with management skills in planning and organising events. It prepares you for a career in events management, specialising in the role that events play in tourism and destination management. You study events and tourism theory, policy and practice integrated with business management. We develop your understanding of what is involved in planning and managing events. An important part of your work involves projects and business simulation. Through these, you experience the part venues play in the leisure industry and in events such as sporting events, concerts, festivals, corporate events, and weddings. The course focuses on the events and tourism industries, but the broader analytical and personal skills you develop are applicable to many careers. It is based on the final year of our BSc (Honours) International Events Management with Tourism and allows you to top up your current qualifications to honours degree level.
