Information Technology with Networks (top up)

If you already have an appropriate HND or foundation degree in an IT or computing-related area, this course offers you the chance to gain an honours degree through one year of full-time study. You gain up-to-date skills in industry standard database and web systems and learn about modern approaches to business intelligence and entrepreneurial skills. You build on the knowledge and skills you have already gained across a range of computing themes, with a particular focus on network security, network optimisation and wireless technologies. You develop your technical IT skills and your awareness of professional issues as well as the interpersonal skills you need to become an effective computing professional. The course has been designed in consultation with industrial partners, such as Plusnet, Technophobia and B2Net, to meet the specific needs of these employers, so you can be sure your studies are up to date with the needs of business. Our partners also contribute real-world case studies for you to work on to give you a unique perspective into the issues faced in the industry.
