This course is designed for experienced early years practitioners within all early years services, and enables you to build on your existing qualifications and graduate with an honours degree. You explore how leadership and quality improvement, continuing professional development and action research in the workplace, can all support the development and continuous improvement of practice, leading to better outcomes for children. Your study focuses on the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and other current national policy requirements relevant to the early years sector. We use a work-based learning approach to ensure the development of your knowledge, skills and understanding is directly relevant to your role. This means that your projects and assessments use your daily work experiences as the basis for your learning. This qualification can help you to gain positions with greater responsibility. It can also enable you to progress to professional qualifications such as Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Qualifed Teacher Status (QTS) or postgraduate level study.
