By the end of your degree, you will have the skills to research and devise effective marketing strategies, based on a sound understanding of digital devices, platforms, media, data and technology. This understanding is underpinned by a solid marketing foundation. **How you learn** In your first year you will take modules that will give you a firm grasp of the foundations of marketing principles and research. In your second year you will firmly embrace the strategic knowledge that will set you apart when it comes to seek your placement experience. In your final year, you will expand your knowledge and stretch your understanding in areas such as strategic brand management and marketing innovation. You learn through •lectures •seminars •problem solving exercises •case studies •self managed study •individual and group presentations **Applied learning** **Work placements** You will have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your second and third years. This is typically 48 weeks long and gives you a real-world experience to prepare you for your future career. Due to our strong relationships with regional, national and international employers, we can help you to secure a great placement opportunity and support you while you are there. Previous marketing students have gained placements at companies such as IBM, Adidas, Marks & Spencer and Disney. **Live projects** Throughout your studies will be actively learning through exploring and evaluating real life organisations.
