Psychology covers a wide range of topics and captures the public imagination. We are all part of groups, organisations, relationships, and consequently an insight into the workings of human behaviour and motivation is of relevance and interest to us all. This programme offers a pathway to gaining an understanding of such processes. You will cover core topics in psychology, such as cognitive psychology, individual differences, research methods and statistics, historical and philosophical ideas in psychology, social psychology, lifespan and development, and the relatively new discipline of positive psychology. You will have a range of options for specialisation in years 2 and 3, such as psychology of film and theatre, psychology of sexuality and gender, and forensic psychology. In your final year, you will complete a research project. You will be taught by a team of experienced academic psychologists from different disciplines and will benefit from seminars with guest psychologists.
