This progressive degree focuses on Environmental Management and the broader topic of global sustainable development, including the study of the physical, biotic and cultural environments involved in the solution of environmental problems. Emphasis is placed on the human, societal and cultural solutions to environmental issues - e.g. considering ecosystem services and monetising their value. Develop leadership and facilitation skills, and gain the tools and confidence to lead and inspire change. You will study policy, legal and geopolitical frameworks surrounding issues such as climate change and the growing importance of sustainability in business in driving good environmental practice. You will gain a thorough understanding of concepts such as the waste-free ‘circular economy’, the business advantage of sustainability in the supply chain and the importance of human ethics, values, attitudes and behaviours in resolving environmental issues.
