Personal Training

Inactivity and obesity are causing crises in healthcare around the world and governments are on the cusp of recognising how to tackle this problem. This course supports those who want to tackle this problem at root cause, using psychology, health promotion and exercise science principles. The degree is vocationally focused around the career areas that include exercise referral and prescription, personal training, community interventions and health promotion. We have strong ties with several established partners which allow students to gain vital experience and develop personal networks. These experiences help them enter the workplace with confidence. We have on site NHS clinics such as Back Injury and Cancer Clinic which investigate how exercise can support patient wellbeing, progression and recovery.
