You’ll also be able to collaborate with students from other courses including Fashion Design, Decorative Arts and Fashion Knitwear Design and Knitted Textiles which will enhance your team work and organisation skills. You’ll receive support to undertake informal work experience and internships and have the opportunity to apply for an exchange in Year Two to study at another university in Europe through our Erasmus scheme. During your university exchange, you’ll gain an international perspective through overseas visits to fashion and textiles events and by working with global companies. This NTU course will offer you the chance to visit international trade shows such as Première Vision in Paris or apply for a year-long paid graduate internship in New York to work for the ANN INC. brands to gain an international insight into textile design and to builds great links with professionals in the industry. You’ll get to use both theoretical and practical perspectives by exploring fashion and interior design. This course will encourage you to undertake work experience alongside your studies and to work on live projects to gain good time-management skills and even the chance of employment after graduating. Our strong links with industry help keep the course informed of new practices and techniques, as well as supporting wide-ranging informal work experience opportunities. You’ll also exhibit your work in Year Three at our Degree Shows in Nottingham, and have the opportunity to exhibit at New Designers in London to members of different creative industries and you may get selected to showcase your designs at SPINEXPO in Shanghai, China. 93% of students go into employment or further study within six months of graduating.
