Art & Design Media Practice

Top up your HND or Foundation degree to a BA (Hons) degree qualification. This one year top-up course allows you, the designer, to focus and enhance your skills in digital media. It is a progression route for students of related HND, Foundation degree or undergraduate degree courses in areas of digital media such as editing, moving image and animation, photography, filmmaking, image manipulation, and web or graphic design. The course will prepare you to work as a practitioner in the contemporary digital design industry. It will equip you with excellent visual communication skills, organisational skills, and a deep understanding of contemporary international design awareness. Benefit from specialist equipment and facilities including high definition (HD) cameras, editing suites, performance and motion-capture technology, and television and sound recording studios. Learn from staff with professional media industry experience. Keep up to date with the latest production techniques and new media developments, using industry-standard technology and production facilities. Submit your work for external design competitions. Exhibit your work in your final year at our Degree Show in Nottingham. To join this course you must have already successfully completed a related HND, Foundation degree, or Years One and Two of an undergraduate degree course. 94% of graduates from this course are in employment or further education after six months of graduating (DLHE Survey 2015 - 16).
