Journalism at Northumbria will give you the multi-media expertise, practical skills and natural authority required to be heard above the crowd, to really make an impact as a journalist. This highly practical course is taught by staff with a wealth of industry experience in TV, radio, online and print journalism. Focusing firmly on employability, you will develop advanced skills in research, storytelling, presentation and production to create ethically sensitive, high quality journalism to professional standards. You will have the opportunity to graduate with a portfolio of professionally published work. Recent graduates have gone on to work for high profile organisations including ITN, Heart FM, North News and Pictures, Dorset Echo, The Chronicle, Newcastle United FC, The Red Cross, The Home Office, Cath Kidston, and Emmerdale.
