Applied Health and Social Care Foundation Degree

The FdSc Applied Health and Social Care is a Foundation Degree programme that students study for two days a week, over two years full time. Students studying the FdSc Applied Health and Social care develop both wide subject knowledge and also enhance the personal skills needed to operate effectively within the increasingly multi-professional health and social care sector. They develop specific skills such as criticality, writing, oral communication and presentation skills including the ability to think logically and construct arguments and research skills alongside more transferable skills such as time management, project management, teamwork, planning, independent learning and organizational skills. On completion of the FdSc Applied Health and Social Care students are equipped with the skills, knowledge and competence to work in a variety of health and social care environments, to move onto a designated top up programme to a BSc Applied Health and Social
