TESOL with German - Manchester Metropolitan University

Combine strong language skills with the skills to teach others English, and you’ll find a future in classrooms all over the world. Together, these two courses offer a range of skills that can take you far, not only developing the language skills allowing you to explore Germany’s culture and society, but also with the expertise to share your knowledge with others in every corner of the globe. In short, it’s a powerful combination. Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL): Your TESOL units will give you the techniques you’ll need to teach English to others – showing you how to analyse and apply different methods and materials, while building a repertoire of useful activities for your future pupils. You’ll also study the language on a technical level, understanding the sounds and key grammatical features of English. German: In Europe, more people speak German as their native language than any other language. It is the official language of Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg, as well as Germany. As the world's fourth largest economy, and the forerunner in Europe, Germany produces more than a quarter of the European Union's gross domestic product (bbc.co.uk).
