Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages with Spanish - Manchester Metropolitan University

Combine strong language skills with the skills to teach others English, and you’ll find a future in classrooms all over the world. Together, these two courses offer a range of skills that can take you far, not only developing the language skills allowing you to explore Spain's culture and society, but also with the expertise to share your knowledge with others in every corner of the globe. In short, it’s a powerful combination. Your TESOL units will give you the techniques you’ll need to teach English to others – showing you how to analyse and apply different methods and materials, while building a repertoire of useful activities for your future pupils. You’ll also study the language on a technical level, understanding the sounds and key grammatical features of English. Spanish: Spanish is second only to Mandarin Chinese – as the first, official or only language for millions of people across the world, from Asia, America and across Europe. You’ll have units that help you communicate effectively, with classes that embrace speaking, listening, reading and writing – giving you useful transferrable skills, like translating, interpreting and interview techniques
