Public Services

Public Services affect all areas of our daily lives: from the police preventing crime, councils providing services to local residents and the security services fighting terrorism, to schools educating our next generation and the NHS and ‘welfare state’ meeting our needs from ‘cradle to grave’. Our courses emphasise work-based learning alongside a programme of progressive research and teaching that will prepare you for work in organisations such as the police, fire and prison services, local council authorities and housing associations, as well as private sector organisations that provide government services, on a non-profit and profit basis. Our Public Services courses include the following four pathways: - BA (Hons) Public Services - BA (Hons) Public Services (Governance) - BA (Hons) Public Services (Social Policy) - BA (Hons) Public Services (Uniformed Services) All of our pathways share a common first and second year, with specialist core and option units in the third or fourth year varying according to your chosen pathway.
