Environmental Management & Sustainability with Study in EU, N America or Aus

This course is accredited by the Institute of Environmental Science (IES) and has a pathway accredited by the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM). The four year study abroad route gives you the opportunity to study overseas during your third year in North America or Australia. Alternatively the four year sandwich route allows you to spend your third year on an employment placement enhancing your career opportunities on graduation. Residential fieldwork opportunities in the UK and overseas. Our laboratories and facilities are state-of-the-art and will give you first hand experience of a wide range of manual and instrumental lab skills and techniques. You'll benefit from high spec teaching and research laboratories which include equipment to assess the environment for aspects such as pollution monitoring, soil or water quality, and sediment description. We also have new computing facilities for environmental and spatial GIS (geographical information system) modelling. Through their work on the assessment of climate change, tutors in the School have contributed to the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to Al Gore and the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
