Education Studies (Early Years Specialism)

This degree course provides a unique opportunity to explore the nature of education, care and learning within an early childhood context from a national and an international perspective. It sits within our well-established Education Studes programme. You will be provided with a rigorous and intellectually challenging engagement with contemporary issues and debates within education and early childhood. A strong emphasis is placed on issues of equality and social justice throughout the course. You will also be provided with opportunities throughout the course to gain valuable experience in an educational and/or early years context. The course will provide you with an excellent foundation for progression on to a variety of postgraduate courses, including primary school teaching (PGCE required); employment in an early years setting, or educational administration, leadership and management in local, national and international settings.
